Acute Necrotizing Encephalopathy of Childhood: Case Report abstract

Acute Necrotizing Encephalopathy in childhood (ANEC) is kind of fast growing illness accompanied with progressive Encephalopathy. It can be diagnosed by bilateral symmetrical lesions predominantly observed in thalami brainstem of infants children. The aim of this article is to report rare case of ANEC in 4-year-old boy with bilateral thalamic necrosis and nonfatal outcome.
