Land use optimization with an emphasis on the societal security increase in residential neighborhoods Case study: Fatemieh neighborhood

Security is an issue that has been important throughout history. In terms of creating societal security as well as crime prevention, land use can be a major contributor to this. In urban land use planning, it is an attempt to locate suitable land use, in order to create optimal and balanced urban space, as well as to create a balance in land use, to help create social security within the city. In this regard, the present study examines the impact of the use of land in residential neighborhoods on the level of security. The research method was descriptiveanalytic. Data collection has been done through studying library resources, documents and field surveys. To select sample size, Cochran formula was used and 383 people were calculated. Finally, the data were analyzed using SPSS software.
