Abstract:

Cancer is the second leading cause of death in the world after cardiovascular disease. Early diagnosis of cancer plays a very important role in the treatment and life of the patient. Nowadays, based on the characteristics extracted from medical tests and patient clinical information, artificial intelligence (AI) algorithms such as decision tree can accurately identify and diagnose the status of various tumors. This study was conducted to identify and classify patients with benign or malignant breast tumors. The database used in this study was obtained from the University of Wisconsin. The use of these algorithms can reduce the number of unnecessary surgeries on patients and their costs. The data used include 699 samples of patients with 9 features. Decision tree algorithm was used to classify the patients. The results showed that the accuracy of the classification of the decision tree was Reliable.
