Abstract:

Rise in casualties in the face of possible fire is one of the most crucial issues in the historical buildings, especially traditional bazaars. Tabriz Historical Bazaar is a cultural and historical market situated in the city center of Tabriz. It is located in the earthquake-prone area and has been damaged in many fires until now. In recent decades, reports of bazaar fire safety indicate that added mechanical and electrical systems have increased the fire risk. It is because that these bazaars are full of flammable materials, and the Combustion speed is very high. On the other hand, increasing growth rate in the population density and the manner of merchandises presentation have a profound effect on emergency evacuation. Moreover, panicked population during a fire event exacerbates the difficulties in evacuation process. This paper reveals that in historical bazaars such as Tabriz Bazaar, contiguous interaction between environmental-spatial aspects as well as crowd movement and behavior are the most important things in the emergency evacuation. Hereupon, by studying this mutual interaction capability to evacuate in emergency evacuation could be found and people could be directed to safe places by their abilities. This paper aims to answer main questions as fellow: what are the effective indicators of emergency evacuation from the point of view of architectures and crowd disasters And what are the core capabilities of the Tabriz Historical Bazaars to improve evacuation in fire To accomplish this paper, qualitative Research has been used. For the purpose of collecting, field survey, library information and interview with experts have been used for identification, interpretation and analysis interfering factors. Finally, it seems that core capabilities are extracted from interaction between environmental as well as crowd and emergency evacuation. They provide a platform which critical improving task could be get up of it. Therefore, it can provide appropriate foundations to determine critical task to evacuate safer.
