Therefore, the post-operative infections are one of the most important concerns of the surgical team during operation and it is important to know .infectious microorganisms and prevention methods of themMaterial & Methods In this review article, we have accessed to 13 articles in the period from 2010 to 2018 by using Google scholar search engine and Persian and English resources such as pubmed, science direct, magiran and .SID. The following information was obtained by using data of 9 articlesResults The most common microorganisms in the operating room that cause post-operative infections are Staphylococcus epidermidis (79.5%), Staphylococcus aureus (43%), Pseudomonas (27%) and Staphylococcus Coagulase Negative (25.5%) and fungus Aspergillus. It also has the highest transmission rate of infections through water taps, so washing hands with liquid soap and iodine scrub, and then drying hands, .can eliminate up to 53% of these microorganisms Conclusion Due to the high effect of hand washing on reducing the contamination of microorganisms and its direct relationship with reducing the incidence of nosocomial infections, washing hands before surgery and full .compliance with the principles of scrubbing is recommended
