Facile synthesis of flexible crystalline framework Al-MOF via rapid & useful ultrasound approach abstract

Recently, Metal-Organic Framework MIL-53 (Materials of Institute Lavoisier) had much attention because of their unique properties and wide applications, such as gas adsorption, separation and heterogeneous catalysts. In our research, MIL-53(Al) has been successfully synthesized for the first time by ultrasound (US) irradiation under mild conditions at a relatively low temperature and pressure. Mainly MOFs synthesis under conventional method and thermal condition. In this work, we use a new method to decrease the reaction time and reaction temperature. Rapid heating and the creation of hot spots are important factors associated with an increase in synthesis rates under US conditions. Ultrasound is an useful technique to increase the energy efficiency in material synthesis. In our work, we prepared a simple environmental and fast approach to synthesis MIL-53(Al) with ultrasound technique. Crystals size and morphology analyzed by Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM). The results of X-ray diffraction (XRD) showed all samples were good crystalline.
