Lupus is an autoimmune disease, that a significant proportion of them are women. Lupus nephritis(LN) is one of the most common manifestations of lupus disease, which can lead to kidney failure and even death.Pregnancy in these conditions can increase the risk of embryonic & maternal complications. Common treatment options for LN include drug therapy in this review article , effect of LN in pregnancy was considered. pubMed, google scholar was performed Gestational hypertension , preeclampsia , renal flare , proteinuria & hypocomplementtemia are affected in pregnant women with LN significantly . LN in pregnancy decrease live birth & increase preterm birth & IUGR significantly.Risk of preterm birth was more significant in active SLE patient versus inactive.Drug therapy is a way for reduceing the complication of LN. There was no evidence for Tacrolimus s superiority to MMF(cellcept), but there was evidence of the more positive effects of the TAC or TAC with MMF on cyclophosphamide in LN Lupus nephritis increases the harmful effects of pregnancy ; so close monitoring & spesial treatment should be done in women with LN.It is essential and very important to control diseaseactivity in order to get better outcome of LN pregnancy.TAC & MMF are more effective than IVCYC in LN
