Abstract:

The current study aimed at examining the relationship between teacher autonomy, and written feedback of Iranian EFLteachers. In order to conduct this study, at the beginning, 20 Iranian EFL teachers were selected by the researcher.Afterwards, the teachers were asked to collect 10 writings from their students. Therefore, each teacher gave copies of10 writings to the researcher. The feedback written on each test paper was analyzed in terms of content and form basedon a scale that was proposed by Icy Lee (2008). Then, a teacher autonomy questionnaire that was proposed by Pearsonand Hall in (1993) was administered to the above mentioned teachers, and it was filled by the same 20 teachers. As theresults of this study indicated the two null hypotheses which formulated were confirmed. Therefore, it was concludedthat there was no significant relationship between teacher autonomy, and written feedback of Iranian EFL teachers.
