Abstract:

The current study investigated the correlation among Iranian EFL teachers’ social intelligence and EFL students’willingness to communicate (WTC) as well as EFL students’ self- efficacy. To fulfill the aim of the study, 95intermediate learners, homogenized through Oxford Placement Test, were chosen to participate in this research. Inaddition, 19 teachers, categorized as high and low social intelligent through questionnaire, took part in the study. Thelearners of these teachers were given two questionnaires to complete, willingness to communicate and self-efficacyquestionnaires. Regarding the data analysis, t-test was conducted and descriptive statistics were employed to analyze thedata.The findings of correlation analysis indicated that, there was no statistically significant relationship betweenteachers’ social intelligence and learners’ WTC and learners self-efficacy.
