Abstract:
One of the major issues with which schools face is the academic dislike in schools and lack of strong scientific motivation among students for having serious scientific effort. Therefore, motivation is something that provokes feelings of interest. The lack of motivation can be hazardous for the future of education and provoke risky and undesirable behaviors. The sample included 250 students studying in the first grade of high school who were selected using cluster sampling from among the high schools of Hamedan City and filled out the researcher-made questionnaire of educational involvement. Results indicated that there is significant correlation between the aspects of education (cognitive, emotional and behavioral aspects) and school dropout. Moreover, educational involvement is a strong predictor of students’ school dropout. The results of step-wise regression indicated that, the highest predictive value belongs to the emotional involvement. Therefore, educational involvement can predict the educational dropout.
