Availability Study of an Offshore Platform Process Facilities

The availability, or successful continuation of production, of South Pars Gas Field is of utmost importance, because it directly affects numerous domestic and industrial natural gas users throughout the country. In the present paper, a reliability, availability and maintainability (RAM) study is reported that was undertaken on an offshore platform in South Pars area. Three production scenarios were studied to ascertain availability of the wellhead and processing facilities, including control systems.
