Abstract:

In this paper, a new ODE mathematical model of the interaction between tumor cells and immune cells that includes tumor cells, NK cells, CD8+T cells, circulating lymphocytes, IL-2, IL-6, IL-10, IL-12, TGF-, and macrophages M1 and M2. In order to model the systemin a deeper insight the microenvironment considered. The chemotherapy and immunotherapy terms are also considered in the model. At the first step, a full state model derived. Then, by using quasi-steady-state assumption a reduced order model derived. Twosimulations were done; no-treatment and mixed chemotherapy and immunotherapy. In no-treatment, the tumor cells grew up to their saturation level. By using the mixed treatment, the tumor cells eliminated. In order to apply the mixed treatment, the chemo-drug dose and immunotherapy drug dose were chosen based on physiological aspects. This model provides a useful reference for designing optimal treatment protocols and tumor-immune dynamic analysis. The simulation results show a good agreement with biological concepts
