Abstract:

Nowadays, the use of bottled water has considerably increased due to especially safety. The purpose ofthis study was to evaluate the amount of fluoride in some bottled water consumed in the cities of Iran Thiscross-sectional descriptive study was conducted in 2017. In this study, 10 samples from several Brands ofbottled Water were analyzed. The results showed that the minimum and maximum fluoride content inbottled water were 0.03 and 0.85 as mg/l, respectively. All samples had fluoride less than the standardvalues, there was a significant difference between the fluoride content of the bottled water and theaverage fluoride content based on the maximum average air temperature of the central cities of Iran andthe standards of WHO and Iran. The manned fluoride was less than the Iranian standard and the world.Therefore, It is recommended to add or set fluoride in bottled water for preventing of dental caries.
