Abstract:

Governing differential equations of unsaturated porous media is provided by applying a macro mechanical approach in terms of solid displacement and fluids pressures in Laplace transform domain. In order to solve the problem of elastic wave propagation in unsaturated porous media by BEM, the Laplace transformed fundamental solutions are provided and are verified by obtaining well known solutions provided for classical elastodynamics and saturated poroelastodynamics by vanishing the appropriate coefficients.
