Comparison of scheduling algorithms for resource allocation in E-UTRAN and EPC core abstract
Scheduling algorithms assist to properly assign the existing system resources to the communication parties.Due to demanding high speed from cellular networks, there are a variety of different scheduling algorithms for these networks including long term evolution (LTE) networks. This work provides a comparison analysis model over three common scheduling algorithms in LTE networks including Deficit Round Robin (DRR), Proportional Fair (PF), Maximum Carrier-over-Interference (MAXCI). The OMNeT++ simulator tool is used to implement the model and measure the results.
