Abstract:
In this paper, an optimization and sensitivity analysis is carried out on a hybrid diesel/wind/ solar/ battery system for a residential unit located in Ardakan city in Yazd province, Iran, along with an economic study. Sensitivity analysis is performed on wind speed, solar radiation, and diesel fuel costs. Power generation to supply a single load with a maximum demand of 26kW and energy consumption 198kWh/d is simulated as an independent load. The optimal generation system is economically equipped with wind/diesel/battery configurations for sources with an average wind speed of 6 m/s, the average sun radiation is 6 kWh/m2/d and a diesel fuel price of 0.6 $/L. In this paper, graphical optimization results for diesel fuel sensitivity variables range from 0.2$ to 0.8$ per liter, the variation of the solar radiation between 4 kWh/m2/d to 8 kWh/m2/d and the wind speed variation between 4 m/s and 8 m/s are presented.
