Laparoscopic complete mesocolic excision versus open complete mesocolic excision

BackgroundColon cancer or rectal cancer are thought to be abnormal growth of cancer cells in colon.it is known that cortical cancer is stimated to be about 4/2% in men and women throughout life.laparoscopic is a technique for observing the cavity of peritoneum and pelvis through the creation of a small cavity in the umbilical cord is under general anesthesia.the purpose of this study was to compare short term outcomes between OCME (open complete mesocolic excision) and LCME (laparoscopic completel mesocolic excision ).Search methodWe searched Pubmed and ,Google scholar until December 2018.By searching these databases, only 60 articles were found in Pubmed and 130 articles were found in Google scholar. From 190 articles with investigating title we exclude 90 articles and with reading abstract we exclude 16 articles. Finally we include 8 articles in to the our study.FindingThe results showed that the cut in LCME method was shorter, the operation time was less ,bleeding rate was lower ,the hospital stay was less and the incidence wound infection was lower than OCME. Some articles said there were no postoperative complications in LCME, while some articles stated that postoperative complications were low.also every articles started that more lymph nodes were recovered in OCME . Conclusion Our findings suggested that LCME is a safe, feasible and effective treatment method for the treatment of transverse colon cancer due to it can provide superior short-term outcomes including less intra operative blood loss, faster recovery and lower incidence of wound infection
