PROGNOSIS OF ADDICTION TENDENCY BASED ON EMOTIONAL WELL-BEING AND RESILIENCE IN SECONDARY SCHOOL GIRL STUDENTS IN KERMANSHAH

Background and Aim : The research was conducted with the aim of predicting addiction tendency based on emotional well-being and resilience in second-grade high school female students .Methods : The research is correlational. The statistical population of this study included all female students studying in Kermanshah in 2018 in high school. A multi-stage cluster sampling method was used to select 280 people. Data were collected using about demographic, emotional well-being, resilience and addiction tendency questionnaires. Descriptive statistics, correlation coefficient and regression analysis were analyzed using SPSS-26 software. Results : The results showed that there is a negative and significant relationship between the emotional well-being and resilience with addiction tendency in second-grade high school female students in Kermanshah (P <0.05). Also, the results showed that two predictor variables, emotional well-being and resilience, together could explain 34 percent of addiction tendency variance in second-grade high school female students.Conclusion : In order to prevent addiction tendency, it is possible to improve the students emotional well-being and resilience training programs
