SURVEY OF SUICIDE DEATHS DUE TO ADDICTION IN CHAHAR MAHAL AND BAKHTIARI PROVINCE IN YEARS 96 AND 97

Background and Aim : Suicide is a psychiatric emergency that takes around one million people every year around the world. According to the Ministry of Health and Medical Education, an average of 13 suicides per day occur in the country at an average age of 29 years, which is associated with a number of addictions. Be This research has been conducted to determine the rate of suicide that resulted in death due to a definite addiction in Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari province.Methods : This study was a cross-sectional study. Non-probabilistic sampling and all suicide-related deaths, the main cause of their suicidal ideation, were selected as samples.Results : The statistical population of the study was the total suicide rate in the province of 5 in 2000 and 97.7 percent in 1997. In 1996, it was 8 percent and 97 percent, respectively, 15.7 percent due to the association with addictionConclusion : The rate of suicide is increasing day by day due to multi-factor and the number of cases due to addiction has increased and it is necessary for state and non-governmental organizations to develop complete operational programs in this regard
