A Pragmatic Account of the Iranian EFL Learners : with a Brief Review of the Litature abstract

Nowadays, interlanguage has attracted the attention of many researchers in the field of second language research. Among different fields of study, interlanguage pragmatics or ILP deserve due focus, because pragmatics play an important role in success of everyday communication. An essential characteristic of interlanguage is that it is rule governed. This study is an attempt to discover the rules governing ILP of Iranian EFL learners. A brief review of the literature is also included to shed light on the importance of rule of interlanguage.
