THE EFFECT OF SELF-CARE PROGRAM ON REDUCING STRESS IN PATIENTS WITH HEART FAILURE

Background and Aim : Heart failure is one of the most common chronic diseases in the worldwhich places a high cost on health systems. Self-care is an important component of disease controlthat reflects the attitude and knowledge of each individual. Self-care in failure Heart implies thingslike diet and medication management, regular exercise, fluid and sodium restriction, daily weights,and decision-making for appropriate remedies. The purpose of this study was to determine theeffect of self-care program on reducing stress in patients with heart failure.Methods : This is a review study using 16 descriptive-analytical articles and 4 semi-empir ica lintervention articles published in international journals between 2013-2018. Articles fromPubMed, Google Scholar and Web sites and sites Medical journals were selected.Results : : Self-care level was significantly correlated with variables of marital status, education,duration of illness. Of these, marital status and diet are of special importance. More than 1/3 ofheart failure patients have to follow two types of diet and the rest have to follow three dietary plansthat partially impede self-care behaviors.Conclusion : Because of the importance and impact of chronic diseases on social health, it isimportant for nurses to make interventional efforts to promote self-care behaviors to controlsymptoms and prevent the progression and complications of the disease. Holistic education basedon patient status, clear self-care program with simplified diet and medication for patients withheart failure.
