Community-Wide Approach to Youth Suicide Prevention abstract

Many youth suicides are preventable but there is no single answer or simple solution to preventing youth suicide. There is no such thing as a singular one size-fits-all approach to preventing youth suicide. A Comprehensive Approach should be Multistrategy which are implemented across an array of settings & contexts. Primary Focus &Types of Strategies: 1) For Whole Populations → Well-Being & Resilience Promotion 2) For Potential Interveners → Education & Early Detection 3) For Individual/Groups at Risk → Risk Assessment & Treatment 4) for Survivors of Suicide → Postvention & Bereavement The content most relevant to indigenous Youth, Parents & Families, Schools and Communities.
