Abstract:
In this paper, different adaptive transmissionschemes are applied to multi-input multi-output multi-hoprelaying system with transmit antenna selection over Rayleighfading channel. The adaptive techniques investigated areadaptive transmission rate and power, adaptive transmission rateand constant power, and truncated channel inversion with fixedrate. Channel capacity is investigated based on the characteristicfunction of the received SNR at receiver. It is shown that optimalrate and power scheme slightly outperforms optimal rate andconstant power scheme. This outperformance decreases as theaverage SNR increases. Truncated channel inversion schemeshows lower performance in comparison with other schemes athigh values of SNR. However, this scheme outperforms adaptivetransmission rate and constant power at small values of SNR.
