Abstract:
A greenhouse experiment was conducted at college of Agriculture, Al- Qasim Green University, Babylon, Iraq. Sandy - loam soil was inoculated with two beneficial fungi Glomus mosseae and Trichoderma harzianum, furthermore bacteria Pseudomonas fluorescence were inoculated to study the impact of these microorganism on growth andphenolic content of the fenugreek plant (Trigonella foenum-graecum). The second main purpose was to study the role of microbes in improving some physical properties of sandy loam soil. All bio – agents increased fenugreek seeds germination significantly, Glomus mosseae enhance germination 11.17 %, (T.h.) 8.24 % and ( P.f.) 7.22 %; height of plant 31.03 %, 25.93 % and 23.07 %; dry weight 66.65 % , 62.96 % and 58.33 % respectively. Beneficial microorganisms significantly increased the phenolic content but in differ ratio, (G.m.) 20 % ,(T.h.) 17.33 % and (P.f.) 13.88 % respectively. Physical properties had a large share of heterogeneity due to bio – agent use in the study. (G.m.) was the mostimportant, reduce the bulk density (Db) of 34.5 significantly, followed by (T.h.) 29.82 and 26.32 % respectfully; organic content (OC) 33.33, 27.27 and 26.32 %; mean weight diameter (MWD) 24.24, 16.66 and 13.79 % respectively; aggregate stability (As) 21.56, 18.16 and 8.16 % respectfully; porosity (f) 27.95, 24.99 and 21.35 % respectively.
