Political Discourse Analysis: Exploring the Language of Politics and the Politics of Language in Translation Studies

The present research was a study of the between Translation Studies and Discourse within the framework of Political Discourse Analysis (PDA).This Study adopted theoritical Political Discourse Analysis (PDA) with particular emphasis on the framework of Fairclough (2012) and Van Dijk (1999). Obviously, discourses are not once and for all subservient to power or raised up against it, any more than silences are. In addition, politics is viewed as a struggle for power, between those who seek to assert and maintain their power and those who seek to resist it. In this, some states are conspicuously based on struggles for power, whether democracies are essentially so constituted is disputable. The findings revealed that there were significant made by political translation is a vital bridge in international relations and one of the most complicated, advanced, senstive and highly demanding translation activities. This corpus used for the analysis as it concerns Banhegyi (2014) Translation and political discourse and Chilton (2004) Analyzing political discourse: theory and practice and so far forth. Consequently, it was suggested that any pertinent to Translation Studies and the politics of language should be based on a deeper understanding language of politics and attempts to fill the mentioned gap.
