Abstract:

Graph theory has recently emerged as a subject in its own right as well as being an important mathematical tool an such diverse subjects as operational research, chemistry, sociology and genetics.Chemical graph theory is the topology branch of mathematical chemistry which applies graph theory to mathematical modelling of chemical phenomena [2]. Ashrafi et al. [1] said that A graph invariant is any function on a graph that does not depend on a labeling of its vertices. Such quantities are also called topological indices. Among more useful of invariants, appear two that are known under various names, but mostly as Zagreb indices. Due to their chemical relevance they have been subject of numerous papers in chemical literature, while the first Zagreb index, also attracted a significant attention of mathematicians . In this paper, by reviewing the concept of covering graphs and Zagreb indices, we obtain Zagreb Indices for covering graph of a (chemical) graph.
