Abstract:In this research nanocrystalline ZnS and its nanocomposite with ZnO nanoparticles at different ZnO/ZnS molar ratios was synthesizes using precipitation method . The characteristics of prepared nanoparticles were studied by XRD and FESEM. Prepared nanoparticles and nanocomposites were used as photocatalyst and their photocatalytic activity in removal of C.I. reactive yellow 84 as a deputy of organic pollutants was studied. the results show that ZnS-ZnO nanocomposite has more efficiency than ZnS and ZnO nanoparticles alone and the nanocomposite with ZnO/ZnS molarratio equal to 0.3 has maximum efficiency in dye removal.
