This paper deals with the dynamic response of a composite sandwich beam carrying a moving mass with constant velocity. This type of problem arises in many engineering applications such as bridges, railroads and etc. The composite sandwich beam is constructed from two composite face-sheets and a core layer. Travelling mass due to its inertia has significant effect on dynamic analysis of structures. The equation of motion is derived using continuous Euler-Bernoulli simply supported beam. Hamilton principle and Modal superposition analysis have been used to derive the governing equation in matrix form. Newmark's method was employed to solve second order ODE with time varying coefficients semi-analytically. The effect of fiber orientation and face sheet thickness on maximum midpoint deflection, natural frequencies and interaction force between mass and beam were investigated. The results obtained from the computer program presented in this study are com-pared with other numerical and experimental results obtained in other paper for validation
