Strategic Compilation of Rural Tourism Development Using SWOT - ANP Integrated Model (Case Study: Savar Village in Bonab County)

The importance of tourism in the present era, morethan anything else, depends on the economic cyclethat has a high potential in the fields of local andinternational economic dynamics. However,despite significant progress in many aspects ofhuman s life and their ability to solve problems andgreat challenges, rural areas still face withnumerous challenges; because, previous strategieshad not been successful in dealing with ruraldevelopment issues such as poverty, employment,health, food security, and environmentalsustainability. One of the strategies used currentlyin most developing countries, which wereimplemented in other countries with positiveresults, is the development and promotion oftourism in the rural areas that have potentiality fortourism. Due to what stated above, to improvedevelopment in rural areas, especially in Savar (avillage in Bonab, in East Azarbaijan) with itsnumerous historical, natural and social attractionsfor tourists, it is needed to take advantage ofappropriate strategies and approaches to developrural tourism considering the circumstances as wellas human and natural characteristics.
