Abstract:
We investigate a Lamb wave phononic crystal composed of a square lattice of lithium niobate pillars standing inside annular holes. Pillars standing on a thin layer create a local-resonance band gap, which can trap and confine elastic energy and has a lower center frequency in comparison with the Bragg gap. Complete bandgaps are opened, and the influence of geometric properties on tuning the bandgaps is discussed. Finally, a line defect with different kinds of defects is created in order to make a waveguide.
