Qualitative Study of Women s Experiences with In Vitro Fertilization in Maybod City

Background: In vitro fertilization (IVF) is one of the most importanttreatments of infertility for couples. The purpose of this study was in vitrofertilization experiences of women in Maybod city.Methods: This study is based on the qualitative approach and Groundedtheory method. Under-study populations were infertile females of MaybodCity. Cases of the study were 14 women which were selected with purposivesampling up to data saturation. Data of this investigation were collected fromsemi-structure interviews. After data collection, open, axial and selectivecoding was performed.Results: After the first step of coding 348 primary codes were collected andthey categorized into five main groups including turning to spirituality,keeping the stability life, overcoming on mutual challenges, mentaloccupation, and common acceptance.Conclusion: According to the findings of this study, for women with severalunsuccessful experiences of IVF, the main problem related to their infertilityis unstable family.
