Dynamic analysis of composite plates on the viscoelastic foundation subjected to moving oscillator using FSM abstract
In this work dynamic response of a multi-span continuous composite plate structures on the viscoelastic foundation subjected to moving oscillator is studied. Spatial approximation of the problem has been accomplished using Finite Strip Method (FSM). In order to evaluate time response of the system, Newmark method is used. The results are compared with other available solutions. The effects of foundation properties, moving velocity and acceleration, and lamina layout on the response of the plate are studied. The numerical results demonstrate significant effects of the staking sequences on the dynamic behaviors of the composite structure under action of moving oscillator. Key observation points are discussed and a brief design guideline is given. It is noticeable that the FSM is an efficient approach for solving problems and reduces computational time significantly.
