Abstract:
Low temperature hot water radiators are the most common type of heating systems used in winter season. The compatibility of this system with the interior decoration system is an important issue that should be considered. In this paper, we investigate experimentally heat transfer in a particular kind of radiators in order to enhance their output heat. Also a modified decorative radiator with new design is investigated. The experiments were performed on the new radiator with five fins and since the output heat is by convection and radiation, surface temperature of the radiator is measured for different input water temperature and flow rates. The experimental method is based on the standard BS EN 442.
