A Brief Review of Artificial Intelligence and Big Data Concepts With a Survey on Their Combination Applications

From 1956 when the term Artificial Intelligence (AI) was invented for the veryfirst time, it has been developed significantly in many different ways in order tohelp human beings in numerous different ways which are too much for humanminds to tackle, including facial recognition, sorting mail based on postal code,automated driving, etc. Due to the fact that the AI systems are fed with data, itwould be a bright idea to make this data big to get more reliable results. An AIsystem will be able to fulfill its function by learning from data. Therefore, themore data we put through the AI methods, the better they get. Organizations cantake advantage of using Big Data that is put through AI in many aspects two ofwhich are solving business problems, and business decision-making processes.This study aims to demonstrate the concepts of AI and Big Data and review thehistory of their foundation. Besides, it determines a combination of AI alongsideBig Data by reviewing the recent studies, to illustrate that in which fields theyhave applied when they are combined.
