Abstract:

This experiment was done for assessment of grain millet samples (panicum milliaceum) tolerance to drough. this research was done at birjand agricultural research station for complement of plant genetic resources information bank. this experiment was done as (RCBD) desigh with 12 treatment and 3 replication at year (83-85).irrigation cycle was each 7 days in normal condition and cutting of irrigation was in time of %20 flowing stage. during growing season traits such as morphological and physiological traits, plant height, tiller number, leaf number, stem diameter, panicle lengh, number of panicle per unit area, number of seed per panicle, dry forage yield, grain yield, 1000 seed weight were measured. finally average of traits were measured and compared in normal and stress conditon using MSTAT_c software. drought tolerance index of different grain millet variation based as grain and forage yields in two condition showed that samples TN-15-112, TN-15-83, TN-15-54, TN-15-134 with minimum of variation percentage at normal and stress condition were more tolerant samples TN-15-57, TN-15-88, TN-15-9, TN-15-118 with maximum variatin percentage were susceptible to drough.
