بررسی نسلهای در حال تفکیک برنج تا خلوص کامل

In this research 21 F2 populations of diallel crosses, 218 F6 and 37 F8 lines were sown and evaluated on the basis of breeding targets, such as plant height ( semidwarf), high yield, grain shuttering tolerance and grain shape. The objective of this study was to recognize the suitable genotypes to obtain high yielding with good agronomical traits in order to replace with local varities. Sowing date of genetic materials was on may 2001. Transplanting date was on June 2001 at Ghare-bagh plain ( south of Shiraz in Fars province). Selection in progenies was accomplished during the growth season and finally at ripening stage. A total of 1734 F3 lines were selected in F2 populations. In F6 lines, a total of 71 pure lines and 148 single plants and in F8 lines, 3 pure lines and 10 single plants were selected for further studies. It should be noted that in this study the selection pressure was on traits which were controlled by additive gene effects with high heritability, correspond to diallel cross results.
