A field experiment was conducted during the winter seasons of 1994/95 1995/96 and 1996/97 respectivly at the Safi Abad Reaserch center in order to study the yield and yield component faba bean Cultivars. the treatments Consisting Seven lines and varieties (lines: 35112, 35114, and varieties: Barkat, Zohre, Shami, Aljazayeri and local variety as Saraziri (Check) were laid out in a randomized Complete block design with four rePlications. The local variety (Saraziri) with an average grain yield of 5235 kg/ha was superior to others. The grain yield that from years 1994 to 1995 showed a significant differences at 1% level. Virus diseases are great problems in faba crops in the North area of the khuzestan province. All varieties were infected by the virus diseases, but the location variety (Saraziri) could produce high grain Yield. Because it was tolerant with local virus diseases and adaptability to weather conditions.
