شناسایی و تهیه نقشه پراکنش ارقام مختلف خرمای ایران (منطقه بلوچستان)

‭Iran has more than 600 date palm cultivars and known as a main origin of this plant. There is not a comprehensive reference about identification and distribution of Iranian date palm cultivars. Identification of date palm cultivars in different provinces in country help to extension of suitable cultivars and conservation of germplasm to use in breeding and educational programs. This research is part of final report of national project; "Identification and preparation of distribution map of date palm cultivars in Iran" was conducted in Baluchestan region. The 16 marked plots in Baluchestan were visited repeatedly during February to August in order to selection of 1-4 plantations in each plot. Then the information of selected plantations was recorded and 1-3 trees of each cultivar were labeled. The results identified 102 cultivars in Baluchestan region. Also geographical location of all identified cultivars was recorded. Iranshahar, Saravan, Sarbaz and Nikshahr districts are the major of date palm production in Sistan and Baluchesatn province. Mozafati and Rabi cultivars of date palm are growing in all these regions popularity. KEYWORDS: date palm, distribution map, identification, Baluchestan‬
