The aim of this paper is to survey additive effect to produce highly permeable thin film compodite TFC polyamide nanofiltration membrane in water softening. TFC polyamide nanofiltration membranes were fabricated via interfacial polymrization of 1.3-phenylenediamine mPDA and trimesoyl chloride TMC on porous polyethersulfone PES membrane. it should be mentioned that the PES membrane was fabricated in bench -scale. the nanofiltration membranes were characterized by atomic force microscopy AFM, scanning electron microscopy PEM and cross flow filtration .
