Quality of Service (QoS) in WiMAX

In the last few years due to increasing wireless technologies and abroad utilization of data transmission in wireless communication, Quality of Service (QoS) has become an important solid consideration for supporting a variety of applications that are utilized by the network resources. These application include voice over IP, multimedia services, like, video conferencing, etc. this report focuses on analysis of Quality of service (QoS) as important by the WiMAX network .first, it presents the WiMAX (QoS) class details and parameters that indicate quality of service, such as, average jitter and average delay, sent packets rate and received packets rate. Also a simulation in opnet14.5 simulator was made to evaluate how (UGS),(rtPS) ,(nrtPS) ,(ertPS) scheduler perform in different scenarios. Results indicate that nrtPS has better ability in packets transmitting in regular time and less delay in transmitting packets against the other scheduler.
