تاثیر حق ثبت اختراع بر رشد اقتصادی در دو گروه کشورهای توسعه یافته و در حال توسعه

In recent years, the structure of property rights, especially patents, has become more important. A patent is an exclusive right granted to the inventor or his authorized representative in relation to the invention or idea. Today, according to many economists, the role of institutional factors, including patents, is more pervasive than the role of technical factors in the growth policies. In this research, using the panel data approach based on the concept of endogenous growth pattern and also using the two indicators of Ginarte-Park and Effective Patents, we examines the impact of patents on economic growth in developed and developing countries. The data of this research were obtained during the period 1990-2010 by the two indicators. The results show that the patents have a positive and significant effect on the economic growth of both groups of countries. Also, research findings show that the impact of patents on economic growth in developed countries is stronger than that in developing countries.
