A new pencil graphite electrode modified with CeTiO2 applying for determination Human chorionic gonadotropin abstract
This work describes a surface modification of a bare pencil graphite electrode as PGE/CeTiO2 usingcasting method and cyclic voltammetry technique for electrochemical determination of Humanchorionic gonadotropin (hCG). This new sensor has a good ability for determination of hCG atpH=7 under the optimized chemical and instrumental parameters. The electrochemical features ofthe modified surface were evaluated by cyclic voltammetry (CV) and square wave voltammetry(SWV) and also the morphology of the surfaces were identified using scanning electron microscopy(SEM) technique. The new modified electrode is capable for the monitoring and determining hCGwithin the concentration range of 051-011 nM with the limit of detection of 56.95 nM . Thismodified electrode has a high signal to noise ratio, wide dynamic range response, suitableselectivity and high sensitivity in biological medias such as human blood serum without any sideinterferences.
