Abstract:
Titanium dioxide (TiO2) is one of the most common photosensitive materials applied in solar cells, photocatalysis, and sunscreens. Here we report a low-cost, environmentally friendly and reproducible method to apply Bt for the successful biosynthesis of amorphous TiO2 nanoparticles. TiO2 nanoparticles synthesized from TiO(OH)2 as a precursor, using Bacillus thuringiensis(Bt). The biosynthesized nanoparticles were characterized and confirmed as amorphous TiO2 nanoparticles by using XRD, SEM and FTIR analysis. The XRD image confirms the amorphous structure of TiO2 nanoparticles. The morphological characteristics were found to be irregular spherical structure, and a few aggregates having a size of 20–37 nm.
