Determining the strategy of distribution company for participating in the bilateral active and reactive electrical market in active distribution networks with private wind turbines and heat units abstract

In this paper hourly participation strategy for active and reactive power in private DFIG wind turbines, thermal units and battery banks in active distribution network with having forecast of every hour wind speed is determined. These private units are operated within bilateral contracts between them and distribution company in a restrictedsystem. Alongside these wind turbine units that are private property, battery storage that are belong to distribution company is used that formed an integrated unit with wind turbine (DFIG-BES) in some buses. Simulations are done over IEEE 33 bus network for maximizing benefit of distribution company. Determining the rate of participation for battery, thermal units, DFIG-BES and DFIG units, their power generation level, power exchange with the grid, voltage level in buses and benefit of distribution company can be done with performing AC load flow in GAMS software. Market model and retail competition is based on the day ahead planning and distribution companies have contract withsuppliers. For solving the problem and optimization, mixed integer nonlinear programing method is used.
