Abstract:

The pre-hospital care report is a valid medical document that contains demographic information, vital signs, evaluations performed, times related to the location of the ambulance, and medical procedures performed. One of the paper registration challenges is the lack of completeness of information, illegibility, wrong times, and difficulty searching for patients' information. With the advancement of technology and communication, Asayar smart application replaced the paper registration method. This smart application uses a mobile phone in The Internet platform and provides the ability to electronically record patient information and share it among the treatment team. Therefore, this study was conducted to compare the electronic registration of the Asayar program with paper registration in the pre-hospital emergency. Methods: This research is a descriptive-analytical cross-sectional study that was conducted in Isfahan in 1398. Seven hundred missions were performed by paper registration method in 1396, and 230 missions registered by Asayar program method in 1397 were reviewed. Samples were selected by a stratified method with a proportional allocation approach. In order to collect data, researcher-made tools were designed, and content validity was examined. Data analysis was performed by likelihood score matching and data analysis with descriptive statistics, Mann-Whitney and Will Coxon statistical methods. Results: The results showed that the missing (incomplete) data in the Asayar method is 2.68%, and in the paper, the method is 7.19%. The rate of hospital admission in the Asayar method is 0.9% and in the written method is طفیم ambulance arrival time. At the patient's bedside, in the Asayar method is 8 minutes and 43 seconds and in the paper method is 11 minutes and 30 seconds and the time of ambulance discharge from the hospital in the Asayar method is 9 minutes and 20 seconds and in the paper method is 12 minutes and 37 seconds. Conclusion: The study results showed that documentation by the Asayar method reduced the lost data and was associated with increased patient admission in hospitals. Also, documentation by the Asayar method reduced the time of ambulance arrival at the patient's bedside. Also, it reduced the time of ambulance release. It is hoped that by taking advantage of such studies' findings, a practical step can be taken to improve the health system's services, especially in the field of pre-hospital emergency.
