Abstract:

Introduction: Covid 19 epidemic is spreading rapidly worldwide. Given the high risk of transmitting the disease, governments and health care organizations need to maximize the capacity of medical care, protective equipment, and prevention measures. One of the most important innovative strategies for controlling pandemic control is telemedicine. Therefore, in this article, the challenges and opportunities for expanding the use and rapid development of telemedicine technologies during the Covid 19 epidemic were examined. Methods: In this study, based on a systematic review, studies conducted from December 2019 to November 2020 were searched for keywords in the electronic databases PubMed and Google Scholar. Inclusion criteria included studies in English, focusing on the two main terms telemedicine and Covid 19 and access to the full text of the articles. Exclusion criteria included studies that did not provide any scientific, theoretical, laboratory, or statistical evidence. Results: A total of 51 related articles were identified based on the research title. Finally, 25 main articles were selected based on inclusion and exclusion criteria. In this study, the challenges and opportunities in the use and development of telemedicine technologies were examined. Among the challenges in the studies can be reduced access to information technology infrastructure (17, 68 %), Quality bandwidth (14, 56%), privacy and data security (16, 64%), access to electronic medical records infrastructure (9, 36%), coordination in licensing conditions (4, 16) %), Health insurance and repayments (14, 56%), lack of legal framework (3, 12%), access to sufficient budget (9, 36%), selection of clinical leader (2, 8%), Team formation (7, 28%), inadequate training (13, 52%), informed satisfaction (9, 36%) and age of users (9, 36%) were mentioned. Conclusion: This article examines telemedicine's challenges and opportunities as an innovative way to reduce the Covid 19 pandemic. This study showed that Quid 19 emergency emergencies effectively address telemedicine challenges and efforts to expand telemedicine as quickly as possible as a response to manage and control the prevalence of Quid 19 epidemics. Telemedicine technologies can help reduce the risk of transmitting the virus and protect patients and health care providers from spreading the infection.
