Abstract:

The use of high-power induction motors is very practical in the oil and gas industry. Therefore, this article proposed a high-power driver and how it works. This mega- drive supplies its energy from solar cells in areas where electricity is not available. The solar cells provide the required voltage to the mega-drive by means of two parallel full bridge DC-DC converters. The presence of two converters in parallel, in addition to their use in high power, also increases the reliability. If one of the two converters fails, the other converter will supply the rated voltage. The mega-drive and the same DC-DC converters are also controlled by a sliding mode controller which is a robust controller. In the mega-drive, this controller reduces the ripple of flux and torque of the induction motor, and in the DC-DC converter, it causes proper performance in the event of an error in the converters. Finally, the proposed control system is simulated by Matlab/Simulink software. In addition, the simulation results have good agreement between them.
