Abstract:
A silicon photonic crystal nanocavity design is presented in this paper, which exhibits huge localized optical field within. Generated concentrated and leaking modes are presented. FDTD based simulation results show that optical field intensity decreases moving toward the surface of the cavity. According to the numerical simulation results, optical field distribution also varies considering different spatial positions without further design optimization.
