Introduction, by the current reach of the COVID-19 pandemic in the population thereare bound to be long-term implications in terms of socio-economic and psychologicalimpact. The swift rise of fear and anxiety among people due to uncertainty of the diseaseare coupled with essential yet socially disruptive measures like lockdowns andquarantines. These can lead to significant psychological and psychiatric disturbancessuch as post-traumatic stress disorder, depression, anxiety, panic disorders, andbehavioral disorders and also negative and positive effects on students learning processin schools and universities. Predisposing factors include staying away from family,loneliness, misinformation on social media, financial insecurity and stigmatization. it isparamount to understand and research the psychological impact.Methods, Methods This study utilized a cross-sectional survey designed on a convenientsample of 322 peoples in Kandahar university. Its data were collected using anonymousstructured questionnaires distributed through social software. questions were set toevaluate the participants’ risk perception of COVID-19, and the psycho- social positive& negative impact of CVID-19 On Kandahar University’s Students. Questionnaire wasused to identify the participants’ immediate psychological status. Descriptive statisticswere used for data analysis. Risk perception and psychological status were compared bydemographic characteristics and COVID-19 exposure experiences.Result, the results showed that The psycho- social positive & negative impact of CVID-19 On Kandahar University’s Students. and sensitivity to social risks increased, whilethe scores of positive emotions and life satisfaction decreased.The results contribute to the knowledge gaps of short-term individual changes inpsychological conditions after the outbreak.Conclusion, the finding indicating that, faced and their family with COVID-19 areworried about the risk of infection, the future of their learning process in unreliablecondition.
