Abstract:
Visually impaired students are part of the student population who need special attention and have problems with issues such as access to technologies, adapting technologies to their needs, and skills to use of technologies. Technologies in general, and mobile technologies in particular, have a positive effect on reducing the educational and communication limitations of visually impaired students. Mobile technologies offer a variety of capabilities and benefits for the visually impaired, such as audio and video recording, photo capture, data storage, SMS, Wi-Fi, GPS, and Internet access. But the application of mobile technologies in the educational environment and its optimal use in education is a fundamental issue that needs attention and adaptation. In this study, while defining visual impairment and mobile learning, the important applications of mobile technologies for visually impaired people have been investigated. Then, the accessibility of mobile technologies as an important field, in order to inclusive education and create the field of educational justice, has been examined and guidelines have been proposed for the access of visually impaired people to mobile technologies.
